Tasting Notes: At sight it appears intense red with orange reflections. The nose is characterized by a vinous and persistent aroma. On the palate it is full and harmonious. It is recommended to serve in large glasses at a temperature of 17-18 ° C. It goes very well with meat dishes, hard cheeses and cold cuts.
Description:Deep, dark and tempting, and seriously seductive. Empirio di Manduria Dop has aromas of kirsch, plum and spicy oak, and flavours of rich dark chocolate, ripe cherries and spice. This is Puglian wine at its best, with great character and warmth, and a ‘friendliness’ sometimes lacking from its northern Italian cousins. It has delicious spiciness, complexity and pure fruit intensity, with ultra-plush, velvety texture. There are layers of ripe black cherry and blueberry fruit, and everything is balanced by beautiful freshness right through to the finish.
