Generally, cask-conditioned Lager is the exclusive preserve of grand German Beer Festivals, with wooden casks ceremonially tapped and beers served almost immediately to guarantee maximum freshness and spritzy carbonation.
However, the discovery of Edelstoff Cask Lager at the Augustiner-Keller in Munich provided all the inspiration we needed to combine our knowledge of English cask ale and German Lager brewing and create a true, cask-conditioned Keller Lager.
Following a year of development, with trials across Wimbledon Beer Festivals, Oktoberfest celebrations and our New Year’s drink-up, we are hugely excited to announce that from 17th February, Wimbledon Keller Helles will be available for purchase in 9 Gallon firkins !
Bringing together the best of both worlds, Keller Helles offers the drinkability and depth of flavour one expects from a cask-conditioned ale, alongside the light, crisp, clean profile of a Lager.
Unfiltered and unpasteurized, Keller Helles pours with a stroke of classic Kellerbier haze.
