Tasting Notes: Brazil has become known for its sparkling wines, grown in the high-altitude Serra Gaucha in the extreme south of the country. Casa Valduga are masters of Traditional Method sparkling, made from classic Champagne grapes, and Arte Brut is a union of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. In the glass the wine presents fine and persistent bubbles, and inviting aromas of tropical fruit and toasted bread greet the nose. While fresh and brisk, this has excellent texture and complexity from lees-ageing in the bottle.
