Domaine du Bois de l’Oise: Moulin à Vent

Producer: François Martenot
 Geography: Beaujolais
France
 ABV: 13.5%
 Format: 0,75l
 Grapes: Gamay
Tasting Notes: Purple red in colour, with youthful notes of ripe cherry and violet. With ageing, the bouquet becomes more spicy and complex, with aromas of truffle or musk. On the palate, the finesse of its fleshy, velvety tannins and the persistence of its aromas provide unparalleled pleasure.
Description:
Moulin à Vent takes its name from the iconic windmill perched atop the hill that overlooks the vineyards of Beaujolais’ oldest AOP. This appellation encompasses the prime slopes of Romanèche-Thorins and Chénas, where the granitic soils, rich in veins of shale and clay, create a perfect environment for exceptional wines.
