Green Gold Brewing is a Slovenian craft brewery located in the heart of the Savinjska (Savinja) Valley, a region internationally renowned for its centuries-old hop-growing tradition. Surrounded by hop fields, the brewery draws directly from its environment, combining local heritage with modern, innovative brewing techniques.

Founded in 2016, Green Gold Brewing grew out of a long family tradition of hop farming. What began as a small, passionate project quickly evolved into one of Slovenia’s most recognizable craft breweries. The name Green Gold pays tribute to hops—the “green gold” of the Savinja Valley—which play a central role in both the region’s culture and the brewery’s identity.

The brewery is especially known for its expressive, hop-forward beers, frequently brewed with Slovenian hop varieties such as Styrian Wolf, Aurora, Celeia, and Bobek.
