Kernel - Bitter 9G Cask - WET HOP

Pours quite a dark brown, smells malty, chocolatey with hints of earth, wood and iron.

The texture is soft, gentle, beautiful. The hops are there, but not over emphasised. The malt and hops match with equally mild intensity. There’s a freshness you’d hope to find after the ridiculous amount of fresh hops we used.

Some interesting, delicate, liquorice and herbal flavours meld with some classic, English-hop flavours, earth, hedgerow & wood. There’s a celery-like crunch, some oaty, flapjack notes. Its flavours are refined so that you almost instantly need another sip to uncover the more nuanced aspects. Despite the rather abstract tasting notes, it’s a very round and incredibly delicious beer.
